Life Legacy


Evelyn Radford Davis Lipscomb, a long time resident of Staunton, died Thursday morning, January 28, 2010.
Mrs. Lipscomb was born in Granite Falls, NC, on July 3, 1926, a daughter of the late James H. and Nellie (Taylor) Radford. Mrs. Lipscomb was formerly employed by: Admiral Forrest Sherman, Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon; Senator Thomas Kuchel, CA; a shoe model for C. Stahl Advertising Agency, CA; several Staunton law firms; and retired from America Safety Razor, Verona in 1991. She was also a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and attended Verona United Methodist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Albert W. “Bob” Davis, as well as her second husband, H. Robert Lipscomb, Jr.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Tracey W. and Pam Collie Davis, a grandson, Alex O. Davis, and a granddaughter, Kacey E. Davis.
A memorial visitation will held for friends and family, from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M., on Monday, February 1, 2010, in the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes & Crematory, 18 West Frederick Street.
Inurnment will be held at a later date in Granite Falls, NC.
