Biography

Alvena Idamay Barnes, 86, of Waynesboro passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Augusta Health.
Born Thursday, October 11, 1923 she was the daughter of the late George Elmer and Julia Fergus Bradshaw.
Throughout her life she was active in the Eastern Star and enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two sisters, Daisy Brooks and Virginia Hyatt as well as one brother, Elmer George Bradsaw.
Survivors include her nieces, Irene and Carl Sweely, Bernice and Michael Greene, Peggy and Matt Sickles, Christine Maggio, Pauline Hyatt and Patty Hyatt.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Augusta Memorial Park with Pastor Will Heyward officiating.
