Life Legacy
Elizabeth Claytor, 72, of Lyndhurst, passed away Tuesday morning, March 2, 2010, at her daughter’s residence in Afton.
Elizabeth was born, in West Virginia, on Tuesday, September 28, 1937, a daughter of the late Mamie Hawse, stepdaughter of Bertrand Hawse, the daughter of the late Charles Crookshanks.
She was the President of Tops of Stuarts Draft, and enjoyed working with her stamping group.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Yourtha Claytor, children, Michael Claytor and his wife Sharon of Stuarts Draft, Paul Claytor and his wife Lisa, of South Carolina, Bill Claytor and his wife Donna, of Greenville, Madeleine Snyder and her husband Kenneth of Afton, Arlene Cleveland of Stuarts Draft, Mary Magoon and her husband Mike of Greenville, and Christine Fitzgerald and her husband Thomas, step-sister Patricia O’Dell and her husband Bob, 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her friends at Tops of Stuarts Draft, Meg Crosby, Carl, and Brock.
A Memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., on Friday, March 5, 2010, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 618 West Main Street, with the Reverend Eric Brown officiating.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the funeral home.
