Biography

Norma Lee “MeMe” Bragg, 87, of 217 Henry Ave., passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Shenandoah Nursing Home in Fishersville.
Born March 1, 1923 in Charlottesville, she was the daughter of the late Charles Frank and Annie Lillian Bolton Lamb.
She was a member of Glovier Memorial Methodist Church and a homemaker.
She loved her grandchildren and was a loyal supporter of the Waynesboro Little Giants, where she and her husband were both inducted into the Hall of Fame.
For over thirty years, she sold tickets to the Waynesboro Generals Baseball Games.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Craig and Francis Harrison.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Bragg, a daughter, Gail Diana Hanger of Lyndhurst, one sister, Clara Mundy and her husband Ray of Waynesboro, a beloved grandaughter, Beth Renee Turner, grandson-in-law, J. B. Turner, four great-grandchildren, Alexis Turner, Logan Turner, Bailey Turner and Addison Turner.
She also leaves two nieces, Marsha Berg, Betsy Craig Lawhorne, a nephew, Dwayne Tooley, and her best friend of over 54 years, Corky Shiflett of Waynesboro.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Augusta Memorial Park by Rev. Chuck Wiest.
Active pallbearers will be Dave Huffer, Ronnie Knicely, Webber Payne, J. B. Turner, Jimmy Bell, Mickey Weatherholtz, Kent Hite and Richard Lotts.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the residence of 217 Henry Ave., Waynesboro at anytime.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Glovier Memorial United Methodist Church, 688 Highland Ave., Waynesboro, VA. 22980.
