Biography
Betty Louise (Emery) Jones, 68, of Waynesboro passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
Born March 22, 1942 in Greenbelt, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Robert Smith and Charlotte Janette Zirkle Emery.
Mrs. Jones was an active member of Community Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, Waynesboro. She was a Registered Nurse and worked at the former Liberty House for many years until she retired. In her spare time, Mrs. Jones enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, traveling and sports of any kind.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Emery, Jr.
Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Richard Jones, Sr.; daughter, Lesley J. Ott and husband Martin of Staunton; son, Richard Jones, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Lexington, North Carolina; sister, Lesley Alford of Maidens; grandchildren, Kati Jones, Ashlan Ott, Meghan Jones, Lucas Jones, Emily Jones and Sam Ott.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 2, 2010 at Community Fellowship Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jeff Griffith officiating.
